The celebration of St. Frances Cabrini's feast day November 13, 2024, commenced with a breathtaking and reverent procession led by the spirited children of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School. With joy and devotion, they walked along North 65th Street in Overbrook, retracing the very steps taken by St. Frances Cabrini herself. The children proudly carried a beautifully crafted statue of St. Frances Cabrini, which gleamed in the sunlight, as they made their way past 307 and 309 North 65th Street—once the vibrant convent and orphanage founded by St. Frances Cabrini during her impactful ministry in Philadelphia.
As the procession returned to St. Donato Church, a sense of anticipation filled the air. The children entered the St. Frances Cabrini Chapel, where a celebratory mass was held, skillfully led by Msgr. Britto.
